Ripon Concert for Ukraine

Ripon Concert for Ukraine

Bringing Ripon’s musical talent together as a community response to the unfolding refugee crisis.

7:30pm, Friday 1 April 2022 at Holy Trinity Church Ripon

Thanks to everybody who contributed to the concert on Friday, performers, helpers, audience and donators alike. It was a great evening. We’re still counting all the contributions, but we have raised over £6,000! Thank you seems a bit inadequate!

Don’t forget that, although the concert is over, you can still donate to the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal for Ukraine. Just use the button below.

Over 2 million people have now fled Ukraine, making this the fastest refugee exodus since WWII. Seeing the crisis unfold can leave us feeling powerless – what can we do to help?

Well, the best way to help is to support the aid agencies working in the area. These agencies are helping to meet immediate needs for food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care. They’re helping those still in Ukraine as well as those who have arrived in neighbouring countries.

So we decided to quickly put together a fundraising concert to raise money for those agencies. We’ll be donating all of the proceeds to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, which distributes funds to its 13 member agencies.

This concert is being organised in partnership between Holy Trinity Church and Ripon City of Sanctuary, the local refugee support charity. We are incredibly grateful to all of the individuals and organisations who have stepped up so willingly to help make this happen very quickly.

Programmes will be available on the night, priced at £2. There will be an interval during which refreshments will be served, payable by donation. There will also be donation buckets everywhere you look… so please come along feeling generous! Gift Aid forms will be available.

What’s on the concert programme?
